internet !!!
been a while. but i can't access to the site anyway.
so the telstra guy came tday and installed our internet connection. all went well with 25 dollars of registration and around 12 dollars per mth. managed to get the 2 china grls to chip in as well. yay.
finally went to the central market. last thursday. found halal maggi (curry flavour yummy!) and brahim's (very expensive!!) roti "paratha" (same goes) and some stock together with many kinds of vegetables that looks familiar enough to eat. but i didn't get all those. only the essentials like.. maggi of course. oh together with chicken and beef.
with 5 cents left (i've decided to put my extra 40 cents into my piggy bank), i've to collect money from the ppl whom would be joining us to the bbq party this sunday asap. oh yeah, we've managed to organize a bbq party (due to the boredom) this sunday and there'll hopefully be around 20 ppl and since i need the halal chicken n beef, i've offered to find them and buy them with my own money first. hence the 5 cents. luckily i didn't spend more cos i needed to pay rent the next day.
talking abt expenses, i think it's pretty reasonable that considering i've been here for 15 days now and i've spent around 700+ dollars. plus 3 weeks rent. and pots n pans n dishes n cutleries. n groceries. oh and of course the simcard. no shopping yet tho. i duno but i think it's pretty reasonable.
gotta stop living with instant noodles and macaroni n cheese. so i decided to cook rice and some ayam masak merah. taste horrible. to save my self esteem frm dropping down to zero, i blame it on the chilli. and the chilli cause too. oh and a bag of chilli costs abt 10 dollars. rip off.
so now it's back to instant noodles and instant pastas.
next things to buy on the groceries list:
mayonnaise
cheese
bread
salad and tomatoes
fish or tuna or chicken or beef to make sandwich
i can live with sandwiches.
